I had a great catch up with my good friend Frank not long ago. We had a dilemma whereby I needed to get Frank into the Mater Eye Clinic for urgent assessment. Once he had been seen initially, he was given the news that he needed to return for a needle into his eye.
Franks english is not great and he couldn't get his head around things, and refused to go back for this essential treatment. So I had him back in and we had a phone hook-up with the lovely team at the Mater, so I could do some mediation. Once we were all on the same page, Frank was confident that he needed the injections to prevent further vision loss.
So why the smiles?? Frank is obviously glad he is in good hands at the hospital (needles aside) , so much so, a gift to his optometrist was in order. My smile is because I really like Frank, and I don't mind Ouzo!
